With round one of the junior rugby league season done and dusted it is an opportune time to acknowledge the many volunteers who worked behind the scenes to ensure that our boys and girls took to the field last weekend. Whether it be our coaches, team managers, trainers or committee members who all volunteer their valuable time – thank you for your efforts. An awesome win V Penrith @ Penrith – 7 tries to 4 – where Ryder was instrumental in assisting most and scoring 2 of the tries. A great start to a Super Sunday of Grand Final action at Redfern Oval with our Mighty Under 13s’ up against the Concord-Burwood Wolves. With an error in the first play the ball the Lions were under the pump however their defence held firm as the Wolves tried to break through. Against the run of play Ariki ran across field before scorching down the sideline leaving defenders in his wake to score a long range try.
