A great start to a Super Sunday of Grand Final action at Redfern Oval with our Mighty Under 13s’ up against the Concord-Burwood Wolves.

 

With an error in the first play the ball the Lions were under the pump however their defence held firm as the Wolves tried to break through. Against the run of play Ariki ran across field before scorching down the sideline leaving defenders in his wake to score a long range try.

 

The Lions were outstanding on the edges with speed to burn after the forwards had set the platform in the middle. The tries by Lachlan, George and Ariki thrilled the large crowd on hand. A special mention also to Stirling who had a great all round game.

 

The Wolves gave all they had the entire game, scored just after half time and could have come up with another but it was not to be. Congratulations on your season and achievement in making the GF. In the end a comprehensive win by the Lions to the tune of 48-6.
