RABBITOHS RECENT VISIT TO SNAPE A GREAT SUCCESS

Recently we had two of the Young Guns from the South Sydney Rabbitohs Top 30 NRL squad come down to training at Snape

The Maroubra Lions favourite son Campbell Graham was joined by Josh Cook a former La Perouse Panther junior & South Sydney Football Club ambassador Luke Burgess.

The visit was well received by the kids & parents alike.

The value of these player visits cannot be underestimated, just look at the accompanying photos. Your Roving Reporter can still remember back to his own junior days with the Mighty Lions back when dinosaurs roamed the land when the touring British Lions side of around 1970 visited us down at Snape.

A special moment was the presentation of a Rabbitohs jersey to our young injured player from the Under 6 team Nathan. He & his mother are of French background so they were shocked when Luke Burgess conversed with them in fluent French.

It turns out that Luke had a year playing with the Catalan Dragons in the UK Super League a few years ago & wanted to immerse himself with the French culture & lifestyle whilst there. Prior to going to France he took language lessons with assistance from his mother.

At the end of training all came together for a group photo with the guys before getting jumpers & headgear signed.

From the Maroubra Lions RLFC we thank Campbell, Josh & Luke for their time.

We wish Campbell & Josh all the very best with their footy for the remainder of the season.

Up the Rabbitohs !
