HISTORY

Established in 1952, the Maroubra Junction Rugby League Football Club was born. An A Grade team was formed from a combination of a disbanded La Perouse team from the previous year and locals from the neighboring Maroubra and Kingsford areas. The red and green colours were adopted from the previous club colours of La Perouse. The captain/coach in the inaugural season was Roy Page. During the 60’s the club had a slight name change to Maroubra Rugby League Football Club.

In 2022, Maroubra RLFC celebrated it’s 70th year playing in the South’s Juniors competition.

In the 70 odd years since it’s inception, Maroubra RLFC has won well over 110 premierships from ages of under 5’s to A Grade.
